1950's Embroidered Organdy Party Dress

No labels found. Very nicely constructed. The dress is made of a cotton blend organdy, a semi-sheer and fairly sturdy fabric. The dress bodice is fitted and darted, the skirt is shirred around the waist, and quite full. The embroidery is all hand done, pretty little bouquets of spring blossoms and leaves in two shades of light pink, white, and two shades of light green. The dress fastens with a side nylon zipper, which is a replacement. Other than the new zipper, the dress is in very good to excellent condition with little wear. Size extra small/petite. Measures 14" shoulder edge to edge/opening, 31" bust, 23" waist, free hips, 15 1/2" shoulder to waist, 24" waist to hem. Can teen sizes up to small/petite woman. For a larger view click here. 1960's Stylish Wool/Mohair Coat with Details

"An American Fabric Creation by Berroco, loomed by Stanley" label. A wool and mohair blend coat in cream background, with steel gray and black plaid weave. The coat has a wide bertha or sailor style collar, glove length sleeves, and patch style pockets. The coat fastens front with beautiful tortoise shell buttons, and is lined in black satin. There is an inverted pleat on back of coat, starting below neckline, a nice touch. The coat is in very good condition. The lining has had a little seam repair, there is 1" area at the edge of one sleeve where the open-weave threads are ever so slightly worn, and a speck spot next to pocket. Size medium. 1950's Anne Fogarty "Pretty Plumes" Print Cotton Dress

"Ann Fogarty, Margot Inc" label. From the early to mid-50's, a classic design in black cotton. The dress has the pretties, and painterly stylized plumes of feather print, they look as if they were painted on the fabric. Done in beautiful pastel colors, wafting through air. The dress itself is styled with a scoop neckline and cap sleeves. The bodice and waist are fitted, the skirt is very, very full. And inset pockets right below waist seam. The dress fastens with back metal zipper, is unlined, and in excellent wearable condition. Size small. 1950's Silk Satin Evening Skirt with Pleated Back Detail

"Tailored by Nardis of Dallas" label. A skirt of ink black silk satin. Skirt is full, with pleating on back of skirt, so is a bit fuller in back. 1930's Exquisite Silk Velvet  Blouse with Glass Buttons

No labels. A cropped midriff length silk velvet top in jet black. Blouse fastens in back with gorgeous clear glass ball buttons into self fabric frog loops. There is subtle draping at neckline, and the sleeves are turned up and shirred at hem. The front neckline has an inner weight covered in silk velvet, to ensure the blouse drapes properly. In excellent condition, classic 30's style. The buttons are probably not original to the dress, but of the same era and valuable alone. Size small-medium. 1940's Cotton Pique' Novelty Print Summer Dress

No labels found. An adorable dress in off-white cotton with a woven design of raised ovals. This dress is from the late 40's to early 50's. Styled with Deep V neckline, a stand-up collar at back neck is decoratively pleated, and has dolman style cap sleeves. Fitted at the waist, semi-full skirt. Fastens front with metal ball buttons into self fabric loops. There is light shirring around the waist, and the original self covered belt which is stamped "15" on the back. The dress has a novelty print of floating pineapples in aqua blue, olive green, black and maroon. Adorable! The dress is in very good condition, the belt is a shade darker (soiled light brownish) than the dress, the belt buckle is stained a spotty light brown on one side, and there is a faint water mark stain across back one shoulder, and a bit on one sleeve. 1950's Satin and French Lace Evening Dress with Illusion Bodice

No labels found, professionally made. A royal blue silk satin dress given it's curvy lines and full skirt by use of princess seaming darting under bust. Of course it has a unique feature in that the satin comes to a point between bust line, rather daring!  The lace bodice is done in matching blue silk French lace, it is very pretty. The lace is backed in nude mesh fabric, and also has a strapless under bodice lining in nude/blush pink faille fabric. The satin is lined in a stiff fabric facing, to hold it's shape. The dress fastens with back metal zipper. The dress is in good-very good condition, the satin is in very good to excellent condition, but there are two pea sided openings in lace under one shoulder on the front bodice, and the other side has a 1" mend with a small hole next to that. There is also a small seam separation of the lining at the shoulder seam, on the underside of the shoulder strap. To be wearable the lace would have to be mended, and some straps would have to be attached to the nude strapless under bodice, to take the pressure off of the lace at the shoulders. Size medium.
