1920's Corde' wrist
purse with Bakelite clasp. An adorable little wrist purse in
tan and light brown fabric cord design, like the Corde' bags of
the 30's and 40's. This is a wristlet because it has a wrist
strap on the back, typical of the 20's style purses. The
Bakelite clasp is an Art Deco angular shape, and is a dark
butterscotch color. The bag is lined in a light silk fabric. In
good condition. The fabric on the frame has all but worn off.
The lining is fragile, but in tact. The intricate cord design
has two loose cords. Measures 6" across, and 5" tall not

1940's Coblentz
leather clutch purse with wrist strap. Might be from the
1930's. Black leather bag decoratively pleated across the top,
and at the sides the bag have "wings", sort of. The
front of the bag has a half-circle or horseshoe shaped brass
clasp, held by a brass square plate at the top center of the
bag. The clasp works great. The back of the bag has a leather
wrist strap. The bag is lined in in navy blue rayon and has
three compartments, and an old I Magnin pocket mirror. The bag
is in very good condition, the front is just about perfect, the
back has a few tiny little dings along the frame, a small white-ish
scrape at top under frame, and another smaller white-ish scrape
at bottom of bag. The brass decorative plate at top center of
bag is slightly bent. Lining is in nice shape. Bag is
medium-large size, measures 14 1/2 across, 6 1/2" tall and about

1950's Hand painted and decorated Soure' bag. "Soure' Bags New York" label. In
absolutely pristine condition, looks like new. The bag is made of a linen
like burlap fabric with vinyl covered handle, frame and piping along the
sides. The front of the bag has hand painted scene of branches, vines,
flowers and an exotic bird. Some of flowers have yarn and gold foil
embroidery, some of the flowers and branches are studded with gold beads and
jeweled. Of course the exotic bird is embroidered and beaded. The bag is a
wheat colored linen like burlap fabric on back, sides and bottom. Bottom has
4 gold tone feet. Bag is lined in cream faux shantung. This bag is a work of
art and in like new condition, but does have a faint remnant of a spill on the back of the bag, not
too noticeable.

1930's Satin
Handbag with Tambour Embroidery and Beading. No labels or maker's
marks. A black silk satin handbag that is pleated across the top under
the frame, and has decorative tambour embroidery on front. Gold tone
frame, chain handle, and latch. Top of bag is decorated with two colors
of beads in a braided design, with matching beading on front latch.
Lined in black silk faille. Excellent condition. Measures 7" tall not
