1980's Valentino Dress Suit with Cropped Jacket

"Valentino Miss V, Made in Italy, Fabrique en Italie" label. Silk dress suit in navy and cream dots print. The dress is a fitted sheath with double breasted look front. The dress is lined in navy silk, and unfastens partially at shoulder with snaps, and unbuttons front. The jacket is also double breasted, with mother of pearl buttons to match. The jacket is midriff length, fitted, has shoulder pads (ala 80's) and also lined in silk. Great lines. In excellent condition. Size small. Jacket measures 22" sleeves and 37" bust. 1950's Zelinka Matlick Spring/Summer Skirt Suit

"B. Siegel Co. Detroit" and "Forstmann Celestial Tweed 25" pure silk, 75% virgin wool, Loomed for Zelinka Matlick" labels. Lovely light weight tweed suit in bone, cream and beige, very lady-like. The jacket is boxy style, with 3/4 length sleeves and little faux pockets. The skirt is tight fitting with back kick pleat. The jacket is lined in terra cotta colored crepe, the skirt is partially lined in same fabric. Skirt fastens with side metal zipper and button. Suit is in pristine condition. Size small. Jacket is meant to be loose fitting. Jacket measures 15 3/4" shoulder to shoulder seam, 36" bust, 35" waist, 35" hem, 18 1/2" shoulder to hem. Skirt measures 25" waist, 36" hips, 26" waist to hem. 1960's Outstanding Ferdinando Sarmi Printed Silk Dress Suit

"Sarmi for I Magnin & Co." label. Beautiful fitted sheath with matching jacket suit.  Italian born Sarmi won the Coty award in 1960 and designed for Elizabeth Arden before opening his own design house. Sarmi is famous for his expensive evening dresses and use of opulent fabrics, which he imported for his collections. This is one of the most beautiful silk prints I have ever seen. The dress is a fitted sleeveless sheath with pleating below waist. The suit is made of silk with a satin finish. The print is a subdued floral print in pale gold, darker gold, grass green and coral pink for a splash of color. The jacket is waist length with short sleeves and fastens with large self covered buttons into bound button holes. The jacket and the dress are lined in matching gold silk which has been hand stitched in. The dress fastens with back metal zipper placket. The set is in excellent condition. Size medium. Dress measures 15 1/2-16" shoulder to shoulder edge, 38" bust, 28" waist, 38" hips, 16" shoulder to waist. The jacket is a bit larger than the bodice of the dress. For a larger view click here. "Goldstein Chapman's" label. This coat is made of the most luscious, heavy, ink black cashmere you can imagine. And, it is in absolutely excellent condition, looks like new. The coat fastens under the rounded collar with a self covered button into a self fabric loop. There are hidden inset pockets at waist, and the coat is lined in gorgeous heavy black silk satin. "Abe Schrader" label. Luscious silk crepe de Chine fabric is printed in a paisley floral print in turquoise, cream, fuchsia, berry, gray-green, and taupe. The dress is shift style, with front side pleats on skirt and back metal zipper. The dress somes with it's original leather- backed belt, and also a bonus matching scarf/jabot. The dress is fully lined in matching turquoise. The jacket is unfitted, open-front, and lined in crepe.
