1960's Ransohoffs Wool Pinstripe Skirt Suit - Sleek!

"Ransohoff's" label. Jet black wool crepe with subtle vertical pin stripes (slimming!). Jacket is fitted, but cut to fit snug through shoulders and bust, and a bit loosely through waist and hips. A very 60's fit. The skirt is slim fitting, with side metal zipper and button. Both jacket and skirt are fully lined in black silk (a sign of a very good suit). Jacket fastens with 5 large plastic buttons into nicely bound button holes. Jacket is decorated with faux pockets - flaps lined in silk, but no actual pocket at bust level and hip level. Suit is in pristine condition. Size small-medium. Jacket measures 16" shoulder to shoulder seam, 21 1/2" sleeves, 37" bust, 34" waist, 39" hips, 16" shoulder to waist, 26" shoulder to hem. 1940's Tambour Embroidered Blouse

No labels. The art of tambour embroidery dates back to the 1800's or earlier. Tambour embroidery has been used to embellish designs by some of the greats such as Givenchy, Chanel and Dior.  This is definitely an inspiration piece for designers, or a great "wearable art" item for vintage enthusiasts. A black net fabric with glorious bright tambour embroidered flowers. The style is fitted, with mandarin style neckline. The blouse buttons front with ball shaped buttons which are covered in embroidered net fabric. Great to show off a silk camisole underneath. The blouse is in excellent condition, has one very tiny hole in the netting. Size medium. Measures 15" shoulder to shoulder edge, 37" bust, 33" waist, 34" hem, 17 1/2" shoulder to waist. 1960's Joseph Magnin Wool Boucle' Tweed Skirt and Top Set

"Joseph Magnin" label. Gorgeous wool boucle' with tweed pattern in cream, coral and pink. The suit consists of a fitted slim- fitting skirt with side metal zipper, and a fitted top with attached self jabot tie. The top fastens in back with a placket of self covered buttons, with the jabot fastening with hooks. The top is lined in pink rayon crepe, the skirt is partially lined in same fabric. In excellent clean condition. Size small. Top measures 15-15 1/2" shoulder to shoulder edge, 36" bust, 32" waist, 34" hem, 19" shoulder to hem. Skirt measures 26" waist, 36" hips, 25 1/2" length. 1960's Pattullo-Jo Copeland Silk Print Dress Suit

"Pattullo-Jo Copeland" label. This is a gorgeous suit with couture details. From the silk covered snaps on the jacket, to the hand stitched silk lining, the tailoring is superb. This technically is a dress with a matching over blouse, you can't wear the dress without it - because the dress has a green silk slip like top that needs something over it. The outfit is made of silk shantung with the most interesting (what looks to me like) triple-process screen print of flowers against a celery green background. The print process makes the flowers almost look 3D. The colors of the print are turquoise, tangerine, light periwinkle blue, violet and grass green. The skirt and blouse top are lined in ivory silk organza. The blouse fastens in front with hidden cloth covered snaps, and has a row of decorative self fabric "pom-pom" style buttons. The side seams of the jacket curve in toward the waist, and are lightly ruched. The skirt has a few pleats at sides, and a back kick pleat. The dress fastens with a back nylon zipper placket. Really a beautifully made suit with a timeless, classic look. In very good to excellent condition, there is a tiny cluster of spots on the top of the bodice/lining to the dress, near neckline. Size small-medium. Dress measures 36" bust, 26" waist, 36" hips, 15 1/2" shoulder to waist, 26" waist to hem. Jacket measures 37" bust, 30" waist, 32" hem, 17 1/2 in length. 1960's Chester Weinberg Wool Skirt Suit

"Chester Weinberg" and "Mabel*Danahay Buffalo" labels. Gwen Stefani would love this suit! A beautifully constructed fine wool suit obviously Scottish influence, right down to the wrap style skirt with matching wool fringe. The suit is plaid in black, red and teal. The jacket is tailored and fitted, and fastens with hidden large cloth covered snaps. The skirt is slim fitting, wrap style - fastens with large hook and eye, and several cloth covered snaps, and of course finished with the matching wool fringe. The jacket is lined in black silk, the skirt has two linings, the first lining is black silk organza and the second lining is black silk. Looks to be un-worn and in excellent condition, but does have one tiny hole on skirt, below waist, and 2 tiny areas at waist level on the back of the jacket where it looks like something may have been removed - possibly an attached belt?  Size small. Jacket measures 14 1/2" shoulder to shoulder seam, 21 1/2" sleeves, 34-36" bust, 27" waist, 37" hem, 20" shoulder to hem of jacket. Skirt measures 24" waist, 36" hips and is 24" in length.
