1940's Silk Night Gown with Hand Embroidery

"Yolande, made by hand, 36" label. A gorgeous peachy-pink bias cut silk crepe night gown with silver thread hand embroidery in floral design on bodice. Designed with a V neckline and empire waist seam, bias cut, and white lace trim on neckline and arm openings. Night gown looks hardly worn if at all, but does have a small faint spot under one bust, a light brown tiny mark below hip level, and on lower side of skirt a cluster of tiny spots. Size small. 1930's New/Old Silk Satin and Lace Night Gown with Hang Tags

How often do you see a new/old with tags 30's silk night gown? Pure luxury. "Myer Siegel and Co." label and also original hang tag with same company name, and price tag. A gorgeous bias cut full length night gown of beige silk charmuese. The double straps are  trimmed in pink lace, the bodice and hem are also trimmed in pink lace. There is light shirring above the empire waist seam for fullness to the bust. There are belt loops but no belt. This gown looks to be unworn, and in excellent condition with tags, does have 3 speck spots on skirt, faint dirt marks at hem and a pin head size hole under waist.  Might come out with hand washing. 1930's Satin Night Gown with Smocking

Only a bit of a label left, not legible. A beautiful shade of buttercup yellow silk with a satin finish. The fabric is bias cut, has empire waist and fluted hem. There is decorative smocking at shoulders, under bust, and at sleeves. The bodice fastens with three matching plastic buttons. The night gown is in good condition, has three areas of pink (probably lipstick) faint smudges: under top button, midway between empire seam and waist, and near left hip. These are small faint pink smudges that will not come out with cleaning. Also, the silk is delicate, it has quite a few ripples in the fabric, this is an indication of the fabric breaking down. There is one tiny hole on one sleeve, below shoulder. The smocking is in very nice shape. Size small. Measures 15" shoulder to shoulder seam, 27" sleeves, 36-37" bust, up to 27" waist, up to 37" hips, 54" shoulder to hem, un-stretched. For a larger view click here. For a side view click here. 1970's Graphic Print Silk Chiffon Cover-Up

No labels. A beautiful graphic print of flowers against a sheer white background. This is a full-length, un-fitted and sleeveless cover-up or jacket, that has a single hook and eye fastener at the neck. The hems are hand rolled and stitched, the back neckline has a bit of light pleating for fullness. A pretty beach cover up, lingerie, or dramatic jacket over jeans and a bustier top. Excellent condition, very little wear, has a single pea sized spot near side seam, and a small snag at back hemline. This will fit a range of sizes as it is fairly full. 1940's Hollywood Starlet Satin Wrap Style Dressing Gown

No labels found, very nicely made. Black drape-y crepe-backed rayon satin. Bias cut, fitted, with full skirt. Notice the chic billowy sleeves, which fasten at ends with snaps. There is an attached tie belt, attached in back. There is dramatic back detail, a V shaped panel with shirring right above the derrier, accentuates the derrier. Sort of a "watch me walk away" look. The dressing gown is nice enough to wear as an evening gown if going to a theme event, just wear a full length slip under. In very good condition, the only problem I found was a missing snap on the inside at waist (there is a hook fastener on one side and a snap on the inside), and two small holes about midway between thigh and knee level, thankfully it is covered by the top layer of wrap opening. Size small-medium and tall. Measures 16" shoulder to shoulder edge, up to 37" bust, 27" waist, free hips, 16 1/2" shoulder to waist, 43" waist to hem. For a larger view click here.
