1950's Cotton Jersey Play Suit with Wrap Skirt

"Sport Town, California" label. A very Claire McCardell style sporty outfit for beach, outdoors, play. Made of a stretchy cotton jersey in a bold striped pattern of olive green, black and white. The top is actually a body suit/swimsuit that unfastens at the shoulders with a button placket. The skirt is wrap style, fastening at the front on either side of waist with matching buttons to the buttons on the shoulder placket. The skirt is shirred around the waist and very full. In good wearable shape. Skirt has 3 tiny holes front and two back. Top has a very slight hint of stain along edge of arm opening and one pin head size hole. Has been cleaned, but has been in storage for years so will need freshening. Size small. Playsuit measures 34" bust, 30" waist, 36" hips, 16" shoulder to waist, 30" shoulder to crotch. 1960's Matte Silk Jersey Cocktail Dress with Pleated Shelf Bust

"Blains, Las Vegas" label. This dress is gorgeous, but super small in bust and has flaws. Made of matte black silk jersey. Very fitted and slinky. Pleating across bust, with straps that extend down under bust line, creating a shelf. The dress is lined in silk crepe de Chine, and has boning or stays on side seams for shape. Fastens with back metal zipper. Flaws: Front skirt has 4 tiny holes, back of dress below waist has a series of snaps sewn on, but the piece that snaps onto it is missing. One of the straps has a tiny bit of fraying along the edge. Dress has not been cleaned. Size small. Shown on a size 2/4 mannequin with a 33" bust, could not fasten all the way up in back. 1950's Embroidered Organdy Party Dress

No labels found. Very nicely constructed. The dress is made of a cotton blend organdy, a semi-sheer and fairly sturdy fabric. The dress bodice is fitted and darted, the skirt is shirred around the waist, and quite full. The embroidery is all hand done, pretty little bouquets of spring blossoms and leaves in two shades of light pink, white, and two shades of light green. The dress fastens with a side nylon zipper, which is a replacement. Other than the new zipper, the dress is in very good to excellent condition with little wear. Size extra small/petite. Measures 14" shoulder edge to edge/opening, 31" bust, 23" waist, free hips, 15 1/2" shoulder to waist, 24" waist to hem. Can teen sizes up to small/petite woman. For a larger view click here. 1960's Silk Brocade Dress in Coral and Gold

Has size tag. Pretty colors in rich coral and gold brocade. Dress is fitted through bodice and slightly at waist, with a seam under bust. Skirt flares gently at hem, and skirt has back kick pleat. Dress is lined in matching coral silk, and fastens with back metal zipper. Nicely made. In good condition. Needs cleaning. There are a few areas along the edges of the neckline where the brocade is fraying a bit, also a tiny area on one sleeve. Size medium. Measures 15 1/2" shoulder to shoulder edge, 36" bust, 5" from center neckline to empire seam,  28" waist, 38" hips, 15" shoulder to waist, 28" waist to hem.
