1950's Wool Gabardine Skirt

No labels. Very nice wool gabardine. Dark navy blue slim fit skirt with back kick pleat. Fastens with side metal zipper and matching plastic button. Unlined. 1950's Tailored Wool Angora Day Dress

No labels found. Very nicely made. Jet black wool and what feels like angora blend, the fabric is soft and has a slightly fuzzy texture. Dress is fitted with princess seaming and darts, skirt has small pleats at either side of waist, and below back waist are tucks that create light pleating across the derriere, an interesting detail (be sure and see the back view). Styled with squared neckline and short sleeves, back metal zipper. Skirt has back kick pleat. Dress fastens with back metal zipper. In absolutely excellent condition, not lined. Would look great with a big leather belt and boots. Size medium. Measures 16" shoulder to shoulder edge, 38" bust, 28" waist, 38" hips, 15 1/2" shoulder to waist, 25 1/2" waist to hem. 1950's I Magnin Indigo Blue Wool Crepe Coat

"I Magnin & Co" label. Pretty shade of indigo blue, in a wool crepe. Coat is unfitted, fastens with self covered buttons that have stitching detail. Pockets have decorative notches at center top flap. Coat is lined in rayon silk crepe. Coat is in very good pre-worn condition, no holes or stains, sill looks nice. The color is my favorite thing about this coat, a deep indigo - the color of dark-wash denim. A nice change from the usual black. Size medium. 1940's Rayon Sailboat and Seagull Print Day Dress

Label missing. Aqua blue rayon feels like silk, very nice quality fabric. Aqua blue back with black and white sailboats and seagulls print. Shirtwaist style dress with button front placket, collar and short sleeves. Fitted waist, slightly full skirt. Classic 40's details such as pleating at shoulders, pin-tucked seams and pleats on skirt. Dress has original small shoulder pads, and fastens with side metal zipper. Original buttons have been replaced with plastic nautical buttons from same era. In good condition, 2 very small brown spots on skirt, aqua background is uneven, has a slight washed out look. There is also a 1 1/2" area right at edge of hem that is frayed, fraying on edge of collar. Size medium. 1950's Herbert Schneider Silk Faille Tailored Day Dress

"Herbert Schneider" and "This Garment is Pure Silk" labels. A beautifully tailored dress of matte black silk faille, feels slightly like taffeta and slightly like satin. A fitted dress with button front placket with self covered buttons and French bound button holes. A single hook and eye at waist.  There is a jabot tie at neck, and neckline is dipped in front center. Inset pockets at hips. Skirt has back inverted kick pleat. Dress is unlined except for fabric facing on bodice. Although this dress looks un-worn or worn only once or twice, it does have two flaws: at left shoulder seam the fabric is frayed across the seam about 2". Behind this fray is another 1 1/2" fray that is only held together by some threads. The fabric next to the neck opening is worn down about 2" in diameter as well. The fraying at the seam can be altered out. Size medium-large. Measures 16" shoulder to shoulder seam, up to 39" bust, 29" waist, 39" hips, 16 1/2" shoulder to waist, 27" waist to hem.
