1950's Lilli Ann Boucle' Skirt Suit - Elegance

"Lilli Ann Paris New York" label. Lilli Ann is famous for saving wool mills in France, really! She imported the finest French wool for her gorgeous suits and coats, and used the finest tailoring available. Her clothing is couture! This ink black wool boucle' skirt suit has the cutest boxy yet slightly fitted jacket with notches at the hem, and a large self tie at the neckline. The neckline/collar is cut a bit wide, with a hook and eye fastener and a hidden large cloth covered snap for closures. There was probably a fur collar trim on this jacket at one time. The jacket has it's original over-sized novelty buttons, and elbow length sleeves, French chic! The jacket is lined in black crepe. The skirt is slim fitting, partially lined, and fastens with side metal zipper and button. In very good-excellent condition with no flaws found and very minimal wear - does have a slight bit of pilling - slight, a normal and expected amount that is in no way bad or obvious. Hem has probably been shortened from original length. Size small. Jacket measures 15 - 15 1/2" shoulder to shoulder, up to 35" bust, 30" waist (suppose to be roomy here) 17" shoulder to waist. 1960's Lilli Ann Boucle' Skirt Suit with Mink Trim

"Lilli Ann Paris San Francisco" label. I have to mention that this wool boucle' is so much thicker, dense,  and richer of a weave than any other boucle' I can recall having. It is just a gorgeous fabric. This is the classic late 50's skirt suit, fitted pencil skirt with cropped length jacket with fur trim. The collar fastens with cloth covered snap and has self bow, cute! The jacket has a scalloped hem and glove length sleeves. Also has crochet covered large  ball buttons. I love the contrasting white collar. The jacket is lined in black crepe,  the skirt is partially lined in rayon. Skirt fastens with side metal zipper and button at top of placket. The set is in excellent lightly worn condition. Size small. Jacket measures about 15" shoulder to shoulder edge, 36" bust, 29" waist, 18" shoulder to waist. 1980's Valentino Boutique Skirt Suit

Since Valentino is no longer designing, his creations are even more collectible. This is not haute couture, but the next best thing. It is from the expensive Valentino Boutique, Italy label. The fabric dates the suit late 70's to very early 80's, and suit was probably priced around $1500.00 or more when new. It is made of white acetate, with a silk lining. the jacket is fitted with top-stitched curved seams at either side of jacket, front and back. The neckline is done with a simple and elegant treatment of inset fabric, with a dipped neckline. The neckline is bateau style, and the sleeves are tapered. The jacket fastens with faceted black buttons, and there are two matching buttons each sleeve. Jacket and skirt are lined in white silk with the signature "V" woven in. The skirt is slim-fitting, with back kick pleat. The suit is in excellent lightly worn condition, and marked size 6. Jacket measures 16" shoulder edge to edge, 20" sleeves, 34-36" bust, 26" waist, 21" in length. The skirt measures 25" waist, 35" hips and 20" in length. For a larger view click here. 1980's Louis Feraud Wool and Leather Trench Coat

"Louis Feraud, Paris, made in Germany" label (also size 38). Oh it does say "80's" doesn't it? A little vintage Feraud to prowl the streets of New York in, maybe? Smokey gray wool trench style coat with darker gray leather collar, trim around the arm openings, sleeve cuffs, and matching leather backing to the tie belt. The coat has a hidden button front placket, except for the collar button at top. Pockets at hip level. Lined in matching gray silk with "Louis Feraud Paris" woven into fabric. Very good to excellent condition, only wear is a bit to the leather trims, no damage, just a little scuff here and there. 1950's Wool and Wool Jersey Dress Suit - Beautiful Details

No labels, paper union tag. Done in charcoal with a shell pink wool jersey mock turtleneck bodice with short sleeves. It's adorable! And beautifully made. The dress is fitted, has a wrap style skirt - top layer decoratively dips shorter and has decorative non-functional 3 button placket. At right hip an exaggerated decorative functional pocket. The jacket is cropped waist length, fitted, has matching button placket with self covered buttons, same as the skirt, cuffed sleeves, decorative shell pink inset with beaded sew-on. The bodice is lined in soft pink organza, dress fastens with side metal zipper. Freshly dry cleaned. In excellent condition, found no blemishes, no holes, nothing - although I may have missed a small detail. Size small-medium. Dress measures 15 1/2-16"" shoulder to shoulder edge, up to 38" bust, 29" waist, 38" hips, 15" shoulder to waist seam, 29" waist to hem.
