1950's Henry Conder Satin Dinner Dress

"Henry A. Conder" label. A rich, dark, matte black silk satin fabric that has a faille or finely ribbed weave. The dress is designed with a square neckline trimmed in black velvet, with velvet bow at one side, plunging V back neckline also trimmed in velvet. The bodice is shaped and structured with darting and seams. There are princess seams under the bust line, that extend down skirt hem. The skirt is gored front to back, and quite full. The dress is fully lined in a soft cotton/silk blend fabric, and all of the seams are either pinked or finished with ribbon. The dress is in excellent if not pristine condition. A size small-medium. 1960's Abe Schrader Crepe Sheath Dress with Multi-Panel Skirt

"Abe Schrader" label. A dark chestnut brown fluid fabric that feels like a rayon and silk blend. The fabric is similar to a gabardine, has a nice weight to it. The dress is styled as a fitted sheath, with shirring around the waist, front and back. The shoulders have decorative pin-tucked pleating. The skirt has front and back side slits (front of skirt slit is on the left, back of skirt slit is on the right), and is layered by use of multi-panels of fabric. The dress is fully lined in matching silk crepe de Chine. Dress fastens with back nylon zipper. The zipper is a replacement, but other than that the dress is in very good to excellent condition, when the light hits fabric on skirt, it takes on a slight reddish hue, might be a bit faded, but looks same color as rest of dress. 1950's Silk Matelassé Sheath Dress with Decorative Back Details

(Picture shown is back view of dress). No labels found. This dress is very Dior, in both style and construction. It is couture. A matte black silk woven jacquard fabric, or matelasse' fabric. The silk is quite thick, but still very soft and luxurious. The fabric has a rich raised woven design. The dress is a fitted sheath, with  shirring or light pleating around waist. The back is strappy, slightly plunging, and is decorated with perfect sculptural self bows. There is a beautifully done button placket, self covered buttons into hand bound button holes, and a hidden metal zipper placket at waist. The dress is perfectly lined in black silk crepe de Chine. In very good-excellent condition, has been professionally taken it at side seams. I cannot stress enough what beautiful quality and construction this dress is. Size small-medium. 1950's Rappi Embroidered Cotton Dress

"Rappi" label. A sea foam light green cotton dress with off-white tiny Swiss dot embroidery as background, and lots of blue-green, white, and lighter blue-green floral embroidery design. The dress is styled with scoop neckline, darted bust, fitted waist, and semi-full skirt. Dress is fully lined in matching light sea foam cotton, and fastens with back metal zipper. Very nicely made. Freshly hand washed and pressed. In very good condition, the lining of the straps have light brown staining, the seams at the shoulders of the straps have been crudely re-sewn, should be re-done. 1950's I Magnin & Co Silk Sarong Style Dress with Pleating and Swag

"I Magnin & Co" label. A gorgeous dress! Jet black silk shantung, long stemmed roses print in pink, green, red, and maroon. Styled with  a surplice bodice, pleating starts at left side seam and extends up, out and across bust. Fitted at waist, skirt is sarong style with a top layer that is pleated at the left hip, exposes the bottom layer skirt, and has a tie belt that is attached at the right hip, runs across back waist, and then ties at left hip for swag. The belt is also decoratively pleated. The dress fastens with side zipper, and is lined in black organza fabric. Dress looks hardly worn at all, but side zip was replaced with nylon zip, and there a few scattered small rips in the netted  lining of the skirt, which is still in good sturdy condition, one quarter sized hole in lining under back neckline.  Also there are two 1" darts at back neckline that were done as alteration. Other than that, a gorgeous dress that looks like new. Size small. Measures 15 1/2" shoulder to shoulder edge, 37" bust, 26" waist, 36" hips, 17" shoulder to waist, 27" waist to hem.
